The Heraldry Society of Scotland held its Annual General Meeting by Zoom this afternoon. Our new Chairman, Edward Mallinson, elected at last year's AGM in Perth, paid tribute to the first-class leadership provided by his predecessor, Dr. Beverly Bergman. Two members of the Committee retired, Colin Russell after six years and Mark Hamid, after three, and were warmly thanked for their contribution to the Society.
New or re-elected members of the Committee are Roderick Macpherson, Stanley Bird, Dr Beverly Bergman and Philip Tibbetts. Stanley Bird is now formally elected and appointed as Honorary Secretary to the Society.
The Society was delighted unanimously to elect a new Fellow of the Society, the distinguished heraldic scholar Dr. Claire Boudreau, Margaree-Chéticamp Herald Emeritus and formerly Chief Herald of Canada.
