Patron of Leatherworkers, here he is as the crest of the Incorporation of Cordiners in Glasgow, arms granted in 1921: both the HSS Chairman and the Membership Secretary are former Deacons of the Incorporation whose Seal of Cause dates from 1558 although the Incorporation has records from long before that.
