Speaking of the Make and Model of a modern Major-General, this coat of arms, recorded in the Public Register of Arms and Armorial Bearings of Scotland in June 1919 caught my eye:
Major General Sir Archibald Cameron Macdonnell (Canada). "Or, an eagle displayed Gules surmounted by a galley Sable, sail furled and rigged Proper, on a chief indented of the Third a dexter hand erect couped and a cross crosslet fitchée both of the First".
