The ancient title for the Sovereign in Scotland is "Your Grace" which is the official designation of the Lord High Commissioner - even when, as in this case and every third year, the Lord High is a member of the Royal Family. During his or her week in office, the Lord High ranks in precedence second only to the Sovereign even when s/he is not a member of the Royal Family.
