April 6th is the 700th Anniversary of the Declaration of Arbroath. The National Records of Scotland office has produced an excellent brochure designed to accompany the now-postponed exhibition of its contemporary copy of the Declaration: it can be downloaded here:

Also, HSS Committee member, artist Stanley Bird, has been busy painting the shields of some of the nobles whose seals are attached to the contemporary copy of the Declaration held by the NRS. These are splendid works. How many of the owners can you identify?
