While the very private funeral of the late French President Giscard d'Estaing took place in Authon, Per Sandin, Vice-Chancellor of the Swedish Order of the Seraphim, to which President Giscard was admitted in 1980, marked the occasion by displaying the arms, hatchment-style, of the late President in the Riddarholmen Church Stockholm, before placing them on the wall beside other deceased members of the Order.
