The Lord Lyon is attending the Flag Institute's Golden Jubilee Conference in London, pictured here with the President and Chair of the Institute. There have been fascinating talks on national anthems, Northern Ireland and one which covered the Nordic cross flags in Scotland.
Lyon was accompanied by HSS Committee Member Philip Tibbetts, who as well as being March Pursuivant Extraordinary is also the Honorary Vexillologist to the Lyon Court and Communities Vexillologist to the Flag Institute.
