I was invited to propose the toast last week at the Restoration Dinner of the Royal Stuart Society to "Charles II and the Restoration of the Monarchy." I greatly enjoyed the company and the occasion and they were very patient with my nonsense. The Oak Apple Day Dinner was a fitting start to a week of great royal celebrations. Vivat Regina!
