Can anyone more knowledgeable than I (I know, just about anybody) cast any light on the following delightful sketches I stumbled on in the Forman-Workman manuscript stored at the Lyon Office? I believe the manuscript dates from the 1560s but sketch 5 at least has a rather 1920s flavour.....
Sketch 1: terrible arthritis in her hands
Sketch 2: King of Spades .....
Sketch 3: Rapunzel was trying new-formula Vosene when she broke the bowl.
Sketch 4: Hortense always checked her bill before leaving the spa.
Sketch 5: anyone for tennis?
