More Lord Provosts of Glasgow

Following on from Lord Provosts of Glasgow who added a charge from the city's arms to their own grants, we have:

Sir James Watson (1871-1874), who added the robin of St Serf to the Watson fess:

Sir James Bain (1874-1877) who chose the salmon with the queen's ring:

Sir James King of Campsie (1886-1889) who inherited arms from his father but petitioned in 1888 to change the crest to St Serf's robin.

Vanity Fair caricatured him in 1910 as King of Campsie.
