During the meeting of Henry VIII and François I, King of France, at the Field of the Cloth of Gold in 1520 various tournaments took place for entertainment. This embryonic Armorial Roll also carries the scores for nine pairs of knights each running eight courses. It is held by the Society of Antiquaries, London.
