As well as the Births Marriages and Deaths, wills, coats of arms etc, Scotland's People provides access to the Old Parish Registers of Scotland.
Some entries in the Old Parish Registers were later updated.
This record of a marriage contract in 1720 between schoolmaster Patrick Cheyne and Sophia Garioch has been updated twice:
First “The match was broke off”, and then - in a different hand - “Ha ha ha ha! He he he!”
